Lending Technology Product Manager

Shape mortgage lending technology with Purelend as a Product Manager focused on lender implementations, adoption, and AI-supported product execution.

Based in Calgary and working in office, you’ll learn each lender’s origination and funding workflow, then decide where Purelend fits. You’ll translate customer gaps into buildable scope, guide engineering collaboration, and test results before release. The position also asks you to challenge customization, recommend trade-offs to the CEO, and help lenders understand why new capabilities matter. Purelend is an early-stage company automating manual mortgage checks and underwriting work for brokers and lenders across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Map lender workflows and identify missing platform capabilities
• Challenge requests and distinguish configuration from customization
• Agree development timing and scope with engineering
• Bring commercial and platform trade-offs to the CEO
• Help land deals and pitch new features

Requirements:

• Product management, implementation, professional services, or solutions experience
• Strong product judgment about what customers actually need
• Structured thinking that produces verifiable developer-ready scope
• Comfort handling difficult customer conversations when necessary
• Mortgage, lending, or lending technology experience is advantageous
