In this role you will deliver technical support for Canonical employees and customers, focusing on Linux and the Ubuntu stack. You will own cases from qualification to resolution, collaborating with colleagues and senior engineers as needed. Responsibilities
  • Investigate customer issues by researching and escalating when needed
  • Resolve complex problems across Canonical product portfolio
  • Own cases and meet SLA commitments with high customer satisfaction
  • Engage with customers via phone, tickets, and remote sessions
  • Participate in weekend rotation and support office events
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles for shared learning
  • Understand Ubuntu development processes to set accurate expectations
  • Familiarize with and own the technical infrastructure supporting the office and events
Key requirements
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting (logs, stack traces, configuration adjustments)
  • Experience with Linux integration with authentication/directory services and network file systems
  • Ability to navigate stack traces and logs to guide next steps
  • Solid understanding of OS and application bugs and escalation processes
  • Ability to learn quickly and handle customer-facing pressure
  • Programming fundamentals in any language
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to two weeks for company events
  • Extensive customer support experience and strong English communication skills
