Overview

As a Linux DevOps Specialist, you will build and run a multi-site, internet-facing fintech service at scale. You’ll shape infrastructure, automate build and release pipelines, and design multi-site failover in a high-security, high-velocity environment. You work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain continuous deployment and agile development, leveraging top open-source technologies. You’ll evangelise new tools and prototype architectures to drive performance and reliability. This role offers a technical leadership path in a fast-paced, mission-driven fintech setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provision and manage business-critical Linux systems across multiple sites (storage, compute, and some networking)
  • Develop and operate in-house Linux infrastructure
  • Build and maintain build/release automation
  • Plan and engineer multi-site fail-over solutions
  • Develop capabilities in continuous deployment, data centre affinity, and workload management
Key requirements
  • 4 years commercial experience with Linux CentOS, bare metal and virtualization
  • Puppet configuration management or equivalent automation experience
  • Big data experience (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Containers and scheduling experience (Docker, LXC, Kubernetes, Mesos)
  • Strong scripting abilities
