Systems Engineer (RHEL derivatives, Linux, Scripting)

Hybrid - 3 days in the office

Salary: £110,000 - £130,000 basic + competitive bonus

A globally recognised independent trading business that have a strong focus around market making, brokerage services and low latency algorithmic trading are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join their London-based infrastructure team. The role will help towards enhancing and maintaining their bespoke trading platform and associated trading engines.

The successful Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure within my client's offices and at exchange colocation environments, as well as interacting with a global team of experts and ensuring trading functionality is being carried out at an optimum level.

In order to be considered for the role the following is important:

• BSc Computer Science or a related degree
• Solid experience with RHEL derivatives, Bios/Kernel Tuning and Optimizations for Ultra Low Latency Trading
• Strong experience networking in a Linux environment with a solid background in networking
• Strong scripting experience surrounding Perl, Bash, Python, Ruby etc
• Exposure to VMWare and SAN infrastructure
