  • Salary: Up to £55,000 DoE

We're working with a leading consultancy seeking an experienced Linux/Automation Engineer to join a team responsible for delivering automation across large-scale enterprise infrastructure.

This is an opportunity to help build a next-generation automation platform that enables safe, reliable, and efficient infrastructure change across critical Linux, VMware, and F5 environments.

The Role

You'll play a key role in designing and developing automation that accelerates patching, upgrades, and infrastructure changes while improving resilience and reducing risk. Working within a highly skilled engineering team, you'll help strengthen pre and post-change validation, enhance observability, and support the continuous improvement of automation capabilities.

What We're Looking For

  • We're looking for engineers with:
  • Experience building infrastructure automation using Python and/or Ansible
  • A solid understanding of systems administration and networking
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure and automation tooling

We're particularly interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following:

  • UNIX and F5 technologies
  • VMware or other virtualisation platforms
