Overview
In this role you will support an expanding UK infrastructure for a leading ultra-low latency trading business. You’ll work across hardware, networking, software builds, deployment, automation and tooling within a globally distributed tech ops team. The position focuses on keeping low-latency systems reliable and scalable as the firm grows, including procurement and ongoing optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, open and tech-focused culture, delivering robust systems that enable high-performance trading.
Responsibilities- Support and scale UK infrastructure to accommodate growth over 6–12 months
- Triage and troubleshoot complex hardware, network and in-house software issues
- Manage existing hardware/software footprint and assist with procurement of new systems
- Develop tooling and automation to improve deploys and operations
- Work with cross-functional teams to support low-latency electronic trading systems
- Engage with data-centre architecture and core networking concepts
- Coordinate with global teams and maintain stable production environments
- BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or similar technical field
- Strong understanding of Linux
- Python
- Operations experience
- Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues
- Knowledge of hardware management and procurement
- Development of tooling and automation
- Understanding of core networking concepts (LAN/WAN, data-centre architecture)
