As Linux Engineer Manager, you lead a growing team of Linux engineers while remaining hands-on to drive platform improvements powering production trading systems. You will foster cross-team partnerships and optimize service delivery in a fast-paced quant trading environment. You shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and tackle OS and systems programming challenges at scale. This role offers a meaningful impact on a globally respected trading platform and a culture of technical excellence.
Responsibilities- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a growing team of Linux Engineers
- Balance hands-on technical contributions with progressing into a management role
- Ensure continuous maintenance and improvement of the production trading platform
- Support team members to thrive and excel in their roles
- Build firm-wide partnerships and foster a collaborative environment
- Solve technical challenges across OS fundamentals and systems programming
- Lead large-scale coordination to improve service delivery and team productivity
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong programming experience and willingness to learn a new language
- Proven experience leading and supporting individuals and teams
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the organization
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (technical, process, people)
- In-depth knowledge of Linux OS fundamentals
- Proficiency in Unix command line and shell scripting
- Practical experience with modern Linux systems and systems programming concepts
