Linux Infrastructure Systems Administrator

Linux infrastructure administration anchors this onsite London, Ontario position with Digital Extremes, emphasizing enterprise systems and reliable production operations.

This Linux Systems Administrator works within the core IT infrastructure team alongside Systems Analysts and Administrators. The position supports corporate and game servers, Proxmox VE, Ceph, Veeam, Docker, monitoring, and modernization activities. It also includes escalation support, documentation, and required out-of-hours coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux infrastructure
• Administer Proxmox VE hypervisors and Ceph storage clusters
• Validate backups and test restores across Veeam environments
• Maintain monitoring stacks and respond to system alerts
• Execute operating system and hardware lifecycle upgrades

Requirements:

• Five or more years administering Linux systems
• Experience with enterprise Linux, Docker, Proxmox VE, and Ceph
• Experience managing Veeam backup infrastructure
• Familiarity with PRTG, CheckMK, scripting, and networking protocols
• Availability for required out-of-hours on-call duties
