Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Linux Engineers, including managers and ICs
- Maintain hands-on technical contribution while transitioning into management
- Ensure continuous maintenance and improvement of the production trading platform
- Support team members to thrive and perform at a high level
- Foster firm-wide partnerships and a collaborative environment
- Analyze and resolve OS, systems programming, and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate large-scale initiatives to improve service delivery and productivity
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming experience and willingness to learn a new language
- Proven experience in leading and supporting individuals and teams
- Ability to build partnerships across the organization
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills (technical, process, people)
- In-depth knowledge of Linux fundamentals
- Proficiency with Unix command line and shell scripting
- Experience with modern Linux systems and systems programming concepts
