In this role you lead the Linux Team within IT Services at a world‑leading university. You will bridge technical operations with strategic planning, guiding a diverse portfolio of Linux servers, file stores, and AWS environments to enable teaching and research. You’ll drive high‑impact projects, shape the technical roadmap, and collaborate across the IT Services ecosystem to deliver robust, available infrastructure. - Oversee the AWS environment and related services

- Experience of managing people in a customer focused environment
- Extensive experience of installing and managing Unix and Linux systems
- Expertise in configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef
- Sound knowledge of network architectures and technologies
- Understanding of operational requirements and challenges of supporting high availability IT systems in a complex organisation
