Overview

In this role you will support a university’s advancing research infrastructure by applying your Linux expertise to maintain and scale systems. You collaborate with researchers and IT teams to ensure reliable HPC storage, data management, and devops-enabled operations. You’ll respond to alerts, support researchers’ plans, and help bridge ideas to reality within a supportive, flexible environment that values education and research impact.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer infrastructure for research environments
  • Respond to alerts to keep systems stable and available
  • Assist researchers with Linux-based solutions and tooling
  • Manage high performance storage and data workflows
  • Support and integrate DevOps tooling and practices
  • Contribute to scaling the System Administration team and processes
Key requirements
  • strong Linux background
