Linux Systems Administrator London

Manage enterprise Linux infrastructure onsite at Digital Extremes in London, Ontario, using virtualization, storage, and monitoring expertise. Support high-demand studio operations.

As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will co-own corporate and game servers with Systems Analysts and Administrators. The work covers on-premise and cloud infrastructure, Proxmox VE, Ceph, Docker, and Veeam. You will help maintain availability, performance, and reliable out-of-hours coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux servers
• Administer Proxmox VE hypervisors and Ceph storage clusters
• Validate backups and perform restore testing
• Maintain monitoring stacks and respond to alerts
• Execute operating system and hardware lifecycle upgrades

Requirements:

• Five or more years administering Linux systems
• Experience in high-demand production or studio environments
• Knowledge of Docker, Proxmox VE, Ceph, and Veeam
• Familiarity with Perforce, PRTG, CheckMK, shell, and Python
• Availability for required out-of-hours on-call duties
