Overview

In this role you will maintain and optimize a Linux-based platform powering high-frequency trading systems. You will join a highly skilled team known for rigour and innovative culture, working with a mix of in-house and open-source technologies. You’ll help automate processes to reduce human error and contribute to a best-in-class trading infrastructure. The position offers a London-based opportunity with sizable scope and a strong, collaborative learning environment. You will shape performance, reliability, and tooling in a fast-paced, globally operating firm.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting complex trading systems
  • Develop and implement automation to minimize human error
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues using advanced debugging and performance tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and performance
  • Analyze technical problems with clarity and communicate findings succinctly
Key requirements
  • STEM background; ideally Computer Science
  • Deep knowledge of Linux and operating systems
  • Fluent on the command line and shell scripting
  • Strong understanding of C, sockets, and virtual memory
  • Ability to analyze technical problems clearly
  • Understanding of networking protocols
  • Experience with debugging tools: gdp, perf, DTrace, SystemTap
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell)
