Overview

In this role you will support a UK-based, high-frequency trading infrastructure expanding over the next 6–12 months. You’ll work within a small, cross-functional team to maintain hardware, networking, and software build pipelines that enable ultra-low latency trading. You’ll shape automation and tooling to scale operations for a high-performance environment. Responsibilities
  • Support and scale the UK infrastructure for low-latency trading systems
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, network, and in-house software issues
  • Manage existing hardware/software footprint and help specify/procure new systems
  • Develop tooling and automation to improve operational efficiency
  • Participate in software build, deployment, and maintenance processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and traders
  • Understand and implement core networking concepts and data-centre architecture
  • Support virtualization and hardware/networking components as part of the HPC stack
Key requirements
  • BA degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or similar technical field
  • Strong understanding of Linux
  • Python proficiency
  • Operations experience
  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues from hardware to software
  • Experience managing hardware/software footprints and procurement
  • Development of tooling and automation
  • Good understanding of TCP and LAN/WAN networking and data-centre architecture
