In this role you will design, engineer and implement trading hardware and Linux-based infrastructure to support high-frequency trading. You will collaborate with research teams to architect and analyze automated trading algorithms, and expand the firm’s research platform for new exchanges and functionality. - Design, engineer and implement trading hardware
- Collaborate with research teams to architect, implement and analyze automated electronic trading algorithms
- Build and engineer the firm’s infrastructure to support new and existing lines of business
- Expand the proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality
- Strong understanding of Linux
- Experience building process management and monitoring toolkits leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Experience improving the operational stability and functionality of trading systems
- Experience coordinating, planning, and executing firm-wide changes within a global change management framework
- Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues (hardware to in-house software)
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP)
- High level of initiative and ability to quickly build trust with trading and technology teamwork
