Linux Technical Operations Engineer – HFT

In this role you will design, engineer and implement trading hardware and Linux-based infrastructure to support high-frequency trading. You will collaborate with research teams to architect and analyze automated trading algorithms, and expand the firm’s research platform for new exchanges and functionality. • Design, engineer and implement trading hardware
• Collaborate with research teams to architect, implement and analyze automated electronic trading algorithms
• Build and engineer the firm’s infrastructure to support new and existing lines of business
• Expand the proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality

• Strong understanding of Linux
• Experience building process management and monitoring toolkits leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred)
• Experience improving the operational stability and functionality of trading systems
• Experience coordinating, planning, and executing firm-wide changes within a global change management framework
• Ability to triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues (hardware to in-house software)
• Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP)
• High level of initiative and ability to quickly build trust with trading and technology teamwork
