Overview

As a Linux TechOps Engineer, you will support and scale a 24/7 hosted ASP for a high-profile trading and risk management system. You’ll design tools to monitor production workloads and ensure reliability while collaborating with DBAs, Unix admins, and developers to align technical solutions with trading strategies. You’ll work in a fast-paced, interactively technical environment with smart colleagues who value teaching and learning. This role offers a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to shape critical production systems within a leading financial software business.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop tools to monitor and support production systems and automate processes
  • Operate a 24/7 hosted ASP for trading and risk management
  • Monitor and troubleshoot large suites of automated data processing
  • Monitor overall system performance across application, database, and communication layers
  • Contribute to design and development of software and processes to improve service quality and reliability
  • Collaborate with DBAs, Unix Systems Administrators, and development teams to ensure high reliability of the ASP system
Key requirements
  • At least 4 years of professional Linux systems experience
  • Expert on Linux command line
  • Proficiency in Python or Bash
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL/MongoDB
  • Experience with mission-critical production systems
  • Git/Bitbucket experience
  • Financial experience would be a plus
