Linux Windows Systems Administrator

Linux and Windows administration define this hybrid Systems Administrator role at Pelmorex in Oakville, supported by monitoring and troubleshooting expertise. You will maintain reliable, secure, high-performing IT operations.

Pelmorex needs a Systems Administrator supporting approximately 70% Linux and 30% Windows environments. The position covers servers, server-based applications, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, cloud resources, and operational automation. You will support more than 500 servers and production services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, permissions, and service accounts
• Monitor logs, performance, resource utilization, and data transfers
• Provide escalated incident support and document service restoration
• Support Kubernetes clusters, Docker workloads, and container troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering
• Five or more years of related experience
• Production experience securing and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems
• Administration experience with VMware, OpenStack, or Proxmox
• Experience with cloud platforms, automation, networking, and monitoring tools
