LogicMonitor Observability Engineer

LogicMonitor migration leadership and enterprise observability define this Halifax hybrid opportunity, with two days in the office each week.

This Monitoring and Observability Engineer will lead organization-wide capability development and continuous improvement. The work spans infrastructure, networks, applications, security, and service management. Key technologies include LogicMonitor, Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead migration from legacy tools to LogicMonitor
• Define monitoring, alerting, dashboard, and observability standards
• Improve coverage across infrastructure, applications, networks, and databases
• Design dashboards for engineers, Service Desk, management, and customers
• Reduce alert noise through thresholds, correlation, ownership, and escalation

Requirements:

• Significant enterprise monitoring and observability platform experience
• Strong LogicMonitor or equivalent enterprise monitoring experience
• Hands-on Icinga, Prometheus, and Grafana experience
• Knowledge of SNMP, REST APIs, syslog, and integrations
• Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting experience
