Toronto · Ontario · Canada

Reduce tick-to-trade latency with Python, network tuning, and execution systems for a global proprietary trading firm’s crypto desk.

This quant trading developer role owns the full path from infrastructure to live P&L across DEX and CEX venues. Primary work centers on Hyperliquid, including node synchronization, market-data handling, order signing, and submission. The position also covers systematic trading and real-time risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure latency, jitter, throughput, and order round-trip performance
  • Tune network connectivity, CPU usage, and asynchronous event loops
  • Build execution infrastructure and self-hosted Hyperliquid nodes
  • Create latency analytics, kill switches, and position limits
  • Trade strategies while managing leverage, margin, and funding exposure

Requirements:

  • Three-plus years of live quant or systematic prop trading
  • Proven production record reducing execution latency
  • Hands-on network-level profiling and system tuning experience
  • Strong Python with RPC, WebSocket, and smart-contract interaction
  • Understanding of perpetuals, liquidations, funding, and microstructure

Use low-latency engineering, Python, and crypto market expertise to improve execution quality and control live trading risk.
