Overview

In this role you will strengthen Arm's OS verification team by developing OS-based validation scenarios and bringing up OS environments on target platforms. You will work at the intersection of software, firmware and hardware to uncover and triage issues, driving them to resolution with cross-functional teams. You will help ensure CPUs boot reliably and run real software, influencing product quality in mobile, HPC and IoT spaces. This is a hands-on, technically deep position in a collaborative, excellence-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive OS-based validation test scenarios aligned with the plan and feature coverage.
  • Bring up and configure OS environments and test payloads on target platforms, run regression suites, and analyze results.
  • Debug and root-cause validation failures across software, OS and hardware boundaries.
  • Document defects with analysis, steps, logs and evidence; collaborate with development teams for resolution.
  • Track validation status, identify coverage gaps, and communicate results, risks and findings to stakeholders.
Key requirements
  • Software development experience in C
  • Knowledge of low-level assembler languages
  • Understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture features (caches, MMU, SMP, coherency, pipelines)
