Machine Learning Engineer – LLM development | Remote – 80k – 150k

Hexwired Recruitment is partnering with an innovative technology company seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop and deploy advanced AI-powered applications.

You will take ownership of machine learning projects from experimentation through to production. You will be building reliable, scalable systems using Python and Large Language Models (LLMs). You’ll work across model development, infrastructure and product engineering to improve model performance, integrate AI capabilities into applications and solve complex technical challenges.

Key Skills required for this Machine Learning Engineer:

• Strong Python programming skills and experience building production-ready software.
• Practical experience working with LLMs and modern machine learning techniques.
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, deep learning and neural network architectures.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Understanding of model reliability, performance optimisation and deployment.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, inference optimisation or cloud infrastructure would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This permanent remote position offers a salary of 80,000–150,000, depending on experience and technical expertise. You’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging AI projects, contribute to production systems. You will be able to help turn emerging machine learning technologies into practical software products.
