Machine Learning Engineer, Apple Store Online

In this role, you will drive cutting-edge ML initiatives to enhance the Apple Online Store experience. You will mentor a team of ML engineers, design end-to-end solutions, and collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and product managers to scale intelligent retail experiences. You’ll work on product search, recommendations, and personalization, including Generative AI and system-wide optimizations. • Lead development of ML models for search, recommendations, and personalization to improve the online store experience
• Mentor MLEs and drive end-to-end scalable ML solutions for retail customers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, prototype, deploy, and monitor ML systems
• Partner with researchers, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver high-impact ML products

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ and experience building scalable distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and large-scale ML systems; big data tools (Spark, SQL, Snowflake/Hadoop)
• Bachelor in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics)
