Machine Learning Foundation Models Manager

Shape AI-powered customer experiences at Capital One Canada through foundation models, deep learning, and high-impact applied research.

This manager partners across data science, engineering, machine learning, and product management to develop trustworthy AI systems. The work covers model design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation across large numeric and textual datasets. You will assess emerging methods and connect technical complexity with customer-focused business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop foundation models across the complete research lifecycle
• Evaluate emerging technologies, methods, and applications
• Deliver models supporting large training data and inference volumes
• Push applied research into next-generation customer experiences
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve conventional approaches

Requirements:

• PhD in a related field or master's degree plus experience
• Experience building large deep learning models for varied data types
• Expertise in optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, or explainability
• Experience delivering libraries, platform code, or solution code
• Research accomplishments including publications or machine learning projects
