Machine Learning Performance Engineer

Analyze machine learning performance at Qualcomm Canada ULC in Markham, applying C++, Python, and debugging skills to future SoCs.

As a Machine Learning Engineer within Qualcomm’s ML Systems Team, you will evaluate workloads and algorithms across hardware and software designs. The work includes pre-silicon performance prediction, simulation debugging, and identifying compute or system memory bottlenecks. You will contribute across cross-site, cross-functional teams.

• Analyze ML/AI algorithms and workloads
• Explore performance, area, and power trade-offs
• Predict performance before silicon availability
• Run, debug, and analyze performance simulations
• Identify framework, compute, and memory bottlenecks

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• Background in algorithm development and performance analysis
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
