Machine Learning Platform Engineer

Shape platform foundations and runtime infrastructure for autonomous agents as an Asana Software Engineer in Vancouver. Work within an office-centric hybrid schedule.

This Software Engineer opportunity spans Asana’s growing AI organization and multiple core teams. You may contribute to infrastructure, trust, evaluation, observability, or product surfaces for AI-orchestrated workflows. The work requires production engineering across distributed architectures, with centralized interviews followed by team matching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own small-to-medium features and services end to end
• Evaluate latency, cost, and reliability trade-offs
• Maintain Areas of Responsibility and monitor production systems
• Break specifications into milestones and technical estimates
• Remediate technical debt and advocate for code quality

Requirements:

• Two or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Production experience with modern distributed architectures
• Command of software design fundamentals and testing practices
• Experience or curiosity with prompt pipelines and agentic frameworks
• Clear communication with product and engineering collaborators
