Machine Learning Software Engineer

Build scalable AI and machine learning systems in Calgary, Alberta, combining Python, software engineering, and statistical modeling expertise.

This one-year contract focuses on software development for machine learning and AI solutions. You will transition experimental models into automated, maintainable production systems while working with Data Scientists, Architects, and Product Teams. The role requires testing, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and optimize machine learning models and data pipelines
• Transition prototypes into maintainable production software systems
• Design model deployment automation, monitoring, and drift detection
• Test, debug, and review application code
• Collaborate with architects, scientists, business, and product teams

Requirements:

• Three-plus years delivering AI or machine learning projects
• Two-plus years developing software within delivery teams
• Expertise in at least two common programming languages
• Working experience with Python data packages and AWS solutions
• Strong knowledge of testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and automation
