Mainframe Cobol Developer

Here is a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities:

• Analyze customer and project needs to identify appropriate technology solutions;
• Design, document and develop programs and applications with automated testing;
• Develop implementation strategies and coordinate delivery activities;
• Install, integrate and test software packages or applications with customers;
• Ensure the smooth integration of the technical components of the solutions;
• Solve technical problems and ensure the quality and security of the solutions developed;
• Develop, maintain and evolve software applications;
• Analyze business needs and recommend appropriate technological solutions;
• Maintain and evolve software products according to the needs of the organization;
• Plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet commitments and objectives.

The profile we are looking for is as follows:

• Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a similar role at the senior level;
• Demonstrate knowledge of the COBOL language;
• Master DB2 database;
• Know the IMS environment;
• Use Endevor tool;
• Apply JCL;
• Have a solid knowledge of Mainframe environments;
• Be able to work in a hybrid mode with an office presence two (2) days a week.
