Mainframe Quality Engineer Banking

This Mainframe Quality Engineer validates quality, accuracy, resilience, financial calculations, and regulatory outcomes. You will develop test strategies, execute functional and integration testing, and maintain automation across mainframe, API, and integration layers. The work includes JCL, CICS/3270, DB2, and Agile or hybrid delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop test strategies, scenarios, plans, and cases
• Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing
• Monitor JCL jobs and verify files, DB2 data, and feeds
• Validate financial calculations, tax outputs, and regulatory reporting
• Log defects, support releases, and contribute to quality improvement

Requirements:

• Four to eight or more years in QA or QE
• Substantial Canadian retail banking or investment mainframe testing experience
• Strong JCL, job scheduling, SQL, and DB2 knowledge
• Experience with File-AID, Xpediter, SDSF, or ISPF
• Bachelor’s degree or related college program completion
