Mainframe WebSphere MQ Systems Programmer

WebSphere MQ and z/OS expertise define this systems programming role supporting high-availability, 24x7 enterprise mainframe environments. Work spans complex, multi-LPAR operations.

The Mainframe WebSphere MQ and z/OS Systems Programmer supports, maintains, and upgrades enterprise environments. Key technologies include RACF, CA-OPS/MVS, SA z/OS, and SMP/E. The work also covers core subsystem support, automation, monitoring, security, and storage administration for large enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot WebSphere MQ on z/OS
• Plan and execute WebSphere MQ upgrades
• Configure MQ security using RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
• Install, customize, and upgrade z/OS subsystems
• Develop automation tools, scripts, and operational reports

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in complex, multi-LPAR environments
• Experience supporting high-volume transaction workloads
• Knowledge of RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
• Experience with SMP/E maintenance and subsystem upgrades
• Experience supporting banking, telecom, or insurance clients
