Managed Service Architect MSP Preston / WFH to £100k

Do you have experience of scoping and costing managed services?

You could be progressing your career at a growing software and technology consultancy.

As Managed Service Architect, you'll own and develop the managed service product catalogue, shaping new offerings and ensuring they are commercially viable, operationally deliverable and aligned with customer needs. Collaborating with Pre-sales Solution Architects, you'll lead the design of complex, non-standard managed services across Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Google Cloud, defining service scope, operating models, SLAs and resourcing.

You'll also analyse live service performance and costs to refine pricing and margin, lead contract renewals and identify opportunities to transition bespoke services onto standard offerings. Acting as the link between sales and delivery, you'll validate solutions with operational teams, oversee handovers into live service and help grow the catalogue as the business evolves. You'll also coach pre-sales and account teams to make greater use of standard service models.

Location / WFH:

You'll be mostly based from home, joining colleagues in the Preston office or visiting client sites 3-4 days a month.

Please note: you'll be expected in the Preston office for the first 3-4 weeks to complete onboarding.

  • You're familiar with cloud and workplace services, ideally Azure and Microsoft 365; Google Cloud and Workspace experience advantageous
  • You're commercially minded and pragmatic, with strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge proposals that are not operationally or financially viable
