Lead AI engineering at SandboxAQ by building agentic systems with Python, machine learning, and production software expertise. This role is fully remote.

As Manager, AI Engineering, you will lead a small technical team while remaining hands-on with AI research and engineering. Apply agent orchestration, monitoring, guardrails, feature engineering, and model fine-tuning to create reliable capabilities. You will translate research into applicable software projects and production features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow a small technical engineering team
  • Set technical direction for ambiguous agentic problems
  • Create monitoring, guardrailing, and agent evaluation frameworks
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and model fine-tuning
  • Ship production-ready code and technical designs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML, software engineering, or AI security
  • Strong Python programming and relevant framework experience
  • Cross-functional collaboration with end-to-end ownership
  • Ability to learn technologies for scalable software delivery
