Manager AI Engineering Agentic Systems

Lead AI engineering at SandboxAQ by building agentic systems with Python, machine learning, and production software expertise. This role is fully remote. As Manager, AI Engineering, you will lead a small technical team while remaining hands-on with AI research and engineering. Apply agent orchestration, monitoring, guardrails, feature engineering, and model fine-tuning to create reliable capabilities. You will translate research into applicable software projects and production features. Key Responsibilities:

Lead and grow a small technical engineering team Set technical direction for ambiguous agentic problems Create monitoring, guardrailing, and agent evaluation frameworks Perform exploratory data analysis and model fine-tuning Ship production-ready code and technical designs Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Deep expertise in AI/ML, software engineering, or AI security Strong Python programming and relevant framework experience Cross-functional collaboration with end-to-end ownership Ability to learn technologies for scalable software delivery Shape agentic systems through hands-on leadership, Python engineering, research translation, and production-focused AI development at SandboxAQ.
