Manager AML Risk Analytics

About the role

The Manager, AML Risk Analytics performs hands-on quantitative analytics and investigative intelligence work to identify and help mitigate emerging financial crime threats. The role supports enterprise initiatives across risk strategy, transaction monitoring and investigative operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze targeted topics, sectors and threat vectors to produce actionable intelligence.
• Apply investigative analytics, including linked-party and beneficial-ownership analysis, to identify money-laundering schemes, criminal networks and emerging typologies.
• Develop and present threat assessments and intelligence products to inform risk appetite and control enhancements.
• Execute rigorous, repeatable threat analytics methodologies and support scalable capabilities.
• Document methodologies, techniques and best practices, and recommend improvements to analytical processes and tools.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience across financial-crime investigation and data analytics, with at least one year in each.
• Experience with at least two financial-crime typologies, two business domains and three payment channels.
• Strong SQL, Python and Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• A bachelor's degree and CAMS or another relevant certification are assets.
