Manager Data Analytics and Metering

Lead data analytics and metering insights for a utility client in Markham, working in a hybrid Manager position near highways 404 and 407.

Reporting to a Director, you will oversee analytics and lead data analysts and metering specialists. Translate raw meter data into bill-ready data while identifying anomalies, gaps, and usage trends. Introduce AI-enabled technologies, develop standards, and improve data asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design data analysis methodologies, tools, reports, and visualizations
• Oversee timely, accurate meter data collection across systems
• Maintain data integrity through controls, audits, and validation
• Lead analysts and metering specialists through coaching and evaluations
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, and billing stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or related field
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, Power Platform, Access, and VBA
• Three years of progressively advanced data analytics experience
• Three years of progressive leadership experience
• Knowledge of advanced analytics, data science, and predictive modeling
