We are looking for a Manager to join our assurance team. The person will be based at the office of his or her choice in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and delegate work to professionals when carrying out mandates
  • Guide and supervise staff to achieve project objectives
  • Plan, organize and coordinate team work
  • Review more complex files and review less complex files on a summary basis
  • Prepare and review the final product (financial statements, taxes, etc.) and submit financial statements to the partner for final approval
  • Analyze and present financial statements to clients
  • Take on customer management responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure ongoing communication and follow‑up with customers
  • Lead customers through more complex requests and special files
  • Assume responsibilities related to supervision and management of assigned resources (coaching, evaluations, etc.)
  • Determine and monitor objectives and planning for files
  • Draw up time and fee budgets and bill accordingly
  • Prepare quotations and invoices in accordance with established policies
  • Use sound judgment to analyze and resolve unusual situations
  • Plan and carry out special projects
  • Contribute to the development of staff knowledge and skills
  • Participate actively in business development and in promoting the firm in the community, both with prospects and in the development of a new clientele
  • Ensure risk management (firm, professional and other legal standards)
  • Collaborate and ensure quality control of work performed
  • Plan staffing and training needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA designation
  • Acomba software skills an asset
