Manager - Data Operations and Reporting

In this role you will own the day-to-day operation of a global taxonomy governance service, maintaining standards and guiding change. You will work across business, media, data and reporting teams to ensure reliable activation, measurement and reporting through consistent naming and classification. You will chair governance forums, assess downstream impacts, and drive adoption through practical guidance and training. This position sits at the intersection of data governance and marketing operations, shaping how taxonomy supports scalable, accurate insights.
Responsibilities- Own and maintain taxonomy standards, data dictionaries, naming conventions and field definitions.
- Manage change requests from intake to approval and closure.
- Identify duplicates or poorly defined values to protect taxonomy integrity.
- Chair governance forum, record decisions, and escalate issues.
- Define compliance rules with data and reporting teams; review results and coordinate remediation.
- Assess downstream impacts across planning, activation, creative workflows, data and reporting.
- Ensure approved changes are implemented across tools, datasets and reports.
- Deliver guidance and training to improve adoption and correct usage.
- Manage analysts or specialists, set priorities and assure quality of work.
- Leverage compliance trends and stakeholder feedback to improve governance processes.
- Experience in taxonomy, metadata, data governance, information management or data quality.
- Strong understanding of naming conventions, controlled vocabularies, data dictionaries and classification structures.
- Experience operating change-control, approval and governance processes.
- Ability to analyse compliance issues and coordinate corrective action.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Clear documentation, facilitation and written communication skills.
- Experience managing specialists, analysts or an operational workstream.
