Overview
Senior Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems leads scalable backend services, data pipelines, and integrations powering accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting. You collaborate with Finance and Accounting to translate regulatory requirements into auditable, automated solutions at scale. You shape team architecture, mentor engineers, and raise technical standards in a compliance-critical environment. This role offers ownership of critical infrastructure and a direct impact on financial operations and reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities- Own and design backend services, data pipelines, and integrations for financial workflows at scale
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to translate complex requirements into reliable, auditable systems
- Shape architecture and engineering practices, mentoring junior engineers
- Improve data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a compliance-focused setting
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering
- 5+ years of software or data engineering experience with ownership of complex backend or data infrastructure projects
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and data engineering
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran or similar modern data stack technologies
- Understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability requirements
- Collaborative, stakeholder-facing experience across technical and non-technical teams
