Manager Financial Risk Strategy

Shape financial risk strategy with Great-West Lifeco through market, credit, and liquidity risk expertise. This permanent full-time role supports senior stakeholders globally.

As Manager, Financial Risk, you will support the enterprise-wide financial risk framework within the Financial Risk Strategy team. You will provide independent advice, challenge internal approaches, and connect balance-sheet dynamics with strategic decisions. The work spans Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver financial risk reviews for executives and the Board
• Lead initiatives addressing emerging risks and regulatory expectations
• Prepare executive and Board-level technical materials
• Monitor activities and developments affecting the risk profile
• Build relationships with global internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experience in insurance, banking, investment management, or corporate finance
• Actuarial or CFA qualification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to present complex technical concepts clearly
• Knowledge of market, liquidity, or credit risk is an asset
