Manager - Google Cloud Platform Engineer, Technology & Transformation

In this role you will lead GCP-enabled transformation for clients, shaping robust and scalable cloud solutions with cross-functional teams. You will contribute across design, delivery, and optimization phases, and help expand Deloitte’s Google Cloud capabilities and AI offerings. The position blends hands-on engineering with pre-sales and continuous improvement to drive measurable client outcomes. • Design, develop, and maintain Google Cloud solutions, platforms and pipelines
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance
• Provide technical input during system design and document technical work
• Write well-documented code and contribute to technical docs
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to keep live services running
• Stay updated on latest Google Cloud technologies (e.g., Gemini Enterprise)
• Contribute to the engineering community and knowledge sharing
• Support technical pre-sales activities including bid docs, RFIs/RFPs, and client presentations
• Help improve Deloitte’s Google Cloud capabilities, methodologies and IP

• Solid experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering/architecture with deep compute, storage, networking, and cloud management knowledge
• Hands-on GCP delivery experience across Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Deployment Manager)
• Background in CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build)
• Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments (GCP best practices)
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging/alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, GCP Operations Suite)
• Experience with Git and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go)
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize workloads for performance, cost, and reliability on GCP
• Associate Cloud Engineer certification (or equivalent) or progress toward it
• Desirable: professional GCP certs (Architect/Data Engineer) and SRE principles
• Willingness to undergo UK National Security Vetting and security clearances
