Base pay range

CA$160,000.00/yr - CA$190,000.00/yr

• Is one of Canada's largest hedge funds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Investment Operations team, including trade bookings, settlements, corporate actions, and reconciliations with prime brokers and counterparties.
• Support the launch of new processes and products.
• Assess and enhance the department’s control environment, identifying risks and implementing proactive measures to strengthen internal controls.
• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, workflows, responsibilities, and reporting.
• Coordinate testing of new technologies before deployment and communicate findings to the team and management.
• Maintain strong relationships with business partners and ensure service level expectations are met.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in hedge fund operations or a related field.
• Proven ability to solve problems proactively, with managerial and project management experience.
• Strong understanding of fund structures across multiple asset classes.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform well under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Highly motivated, eager to learn, and willing to take on responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with VBA and SQL is a plus.
