Manager, Software Engineering

In this role you lead a software development group responsible for custom applications and integration solutions. You ensure a robust development lifecycle, enforce standards, and deliver projects on time, within scope and budget. You’ll partner with IT peers, QA, and leadership to align technical delivery with business goals and strategy. You drive technology choices, stay ahead of industry practices, and shape the application landscape to create competitive business capabilities.

• Lead development of custom applications and integration solutions for internal/external customers
• Oversee end-to-end development lifecycle with policies and standards to ensure quality and consistency
• Manage and develop assigned team, including hiring, performance management, and training
• Provide input on technical approach and effort for new projects for PMO/IT steering committee
• Forecast and manage resources and budget across prioritized projects
• Collaborate with IT peers and functional teams to achieve business results
• Coordinate with QA to ensure high-quality deployments
• Identify and manage risks, communicate with employees and stakeholders to maintain transparency
• Contribute to application landscape strategy and evaluation of new technologies
• Participate in software selection processes and stay current on best practices

• 2+ years management or team lead experience
• 5+ years of prior application development experience
• Proven ability to manage conflict and balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to influence and advocate change
• Travel 5-10%
