This managerial position reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance, emphasizing a strong understanding of technical accounting standards and financial reporting. You will oversee critical financial statement preparation, collaborate with external auditors, and ensure effective reconciliation processes across investment activities. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards • Support production of quarterly and annual financial statements • Lead research on new accounting standards for the organization • Oversee reconciliation of investment data and financial reports • Collaborate with auditors to resolve technical issues
Requirements: • 7+ years in pension accounting or investments • Public accounting experience with a Big Four firm • Strong IFRS knowledge; U.S. GAAP exposure is an asset • Excellent communication and analytical skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
