Managing Director, Finance Modernisation Global Business & Solution Architect (London)

As MD, Finance Modernisation, you will drive globally consistent solution architecture across finance processes, data, and technology to support the CFO agenda. You’ll shape end-to-end data flows from source systems to reporting, ensuring regulatory-ready books and scalable designs for expansion. You collaborate with Finance and IT leadership to govern design decisions and deliver an integrated, end-to-end solution across multiple finance domains. • Define and govern globally consistent solution design aligned with Finance Modernisation principles across processes, data, and technology
• Ensure design coherence across GL & Consolidations, FPSL, Data Platform, AP/FA/AR, Integrations, Reporting & Analytics, Master Data, Reconciliation
• Architect end-to-end data flow from source systems to reporting/analytics outputs
• Ensure Accounting Books and Records underpin regulatory processes within the solution
• Support multi-scope and multi-framework scalability for future growth and new products
• Lead transitional state management from current to target state and manage interim states across releases
• Collaborate with Finance, Finance IT, workstream leads, release directors, and external partners
• Present and defend design decisions at the Design Authority, ensuring strategic alignment and architecture consistency
• Drive cross-domain delivery of a complete, end-to-end solution matching business processes, technology, data and outcomes

• Significant experience in finance transformation programmes within G-SIBs or similar large global financial institutions
• Proven experience designing and building finance data platforms from conception to implementation
• Hands-on experience with SAP and SAP Fioneer ERP solutions (FSDM, FPSL, GL, AP, AR, FA, Master Data)
• Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes, IFRS/US GAAP, and financial controls frameworks
• Ability to design globally standardized solutions balancing global consistency with regional needs
• Experience translating complex requirements into detailed functional/technical specs
• Excellent stakeholder management and senior leadership influence
