Overview

In this role you will support and manage key IT systems in a central London environment, ensuring stable Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory operations while aligning with security and disaster recovery policies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain service availability and coordinate with external providers. This is a hands-on role that combines technical execution with governance and training of new team members. Your Mandarin-English fluency will enable effective communication across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and maintain Windows Server and VMware
  • Oversee operation and management of remote working systems
  • Configure Active Directory and related services (DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPOs)
  • Manage enterprise network and storage servers
  • Support information security compliance with policies and standards
  • Implement/monitor disaster recovery procedures
  • Update IT policies, procedures, operation manuals, and configuration guidelines
  • Coordinate with external service providers to ensure availability and scalability of networked systems
  • Assist Head of Department in training new team members
  • Take preventative measures to ensure smooth business operations
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks as required by line manager
Key requirements
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Extensive IT system engineering experience in the UK
  • Solid experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, VMware, and File Server
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and configuring Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ownership mindset and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field; equivalent technical degree; Microsoft and Cisco certifications preferred
