Manufacturing Cost Accountant Assistant Controller

Apply manufacturing costing expertise onsite in Halifax as Moog’s Assistant Controller. Analyze profitability, expenses, revenues, and controls for accurate reporting.

Reporting to the Controller, this Assistant Controller serves an experienced financial team supporting manufacturing operations. The work combines cost accounting, revenue and expense analysis, forecasting, internal controls, and contract classification. You will partner with operations, sales, engineering, corporate shared services, and internal and external auditors to support timely financial decisions and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze revenue, expenses, and trends for continuous improvement
• Classify contracts correctly according to ASC-606
• Recommend efficiency improvements, cost controls, and risk mitigation
• Interface with sales, engineering, and audit teams
• Align with shared services supporting accounts payable and receivable

Requirements:

• At least five years of accounting, finance, or costing experience
• Manufacturing environment experience as a financial and cost accountant
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Proven business partnering supporting goals and targets
• Proficiency in Microsoft products
