Manufacturing Systems Technical Lead

In this role you will oversee the manufacturing execution and quality systems across McLaren’s digitised factories, ensuring DELMIA Apriso and related interfaces are available, secure, and correctly configured. You’ll operate within ISA-95 and Purdue-model OT/IT boundaries to maintain system health and support production. You will drive incident resolution, changes, and releases within ITIL-aligned processes, contributing to resilient, high-availability manufacturing. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes how we connect MES, ERP, and data platforms to enable performance at scale.

• Administer and maintain MES/MOM systems and interfaces to SAP and 3DEXPERIENCE in a production-critical environment
• Perform system, environment and configuration management across development, test and production including change planning and rollback
• Triage and resolve incidents, manage problems to root cause, and escalate to vendors when needed
• Plan and execute releases and deployments of MES/MOM and interface changes with minimal production disruption
• Maintain interfaces and data flows between MES, ERP and data platform while respecting ISA-95 boundaries
• Apply OT/IT security, access control and patching in line with policy and least privilege principles
• Maintain runbooks, knowledge articles and administration documentation for audit readiness and resilience
• Operate within ITIL service management processes (incident, problem, change, configuration, release)

• Solid ITIL-aligned foundation in application support, environment and configuration management
• Understanding of manufacturing integration, interfaces, batch jobs, message queues and ISA-95 data flows
• Troubleshooting capability using SQL, logs, monitoring tools and Windows/Linux servers
• Exposure to 3DEXPERIENCE, SAP, Microsoft Azure, Fabric, unified namespace configuration, OPC UA or MQTT (advantageous)
• Basic knowledge of development technologies (C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) (desirable)
• ITIL Foundation certification/awareness (desirable)
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-availability manufacturing with focus on risk, security and continuity
