Overview

In this remote-first role with travel to client sites and offices in the UK, you will lead Master Data Management initiatives within a regulated environment. You will shape MDM strategies, operating models, and data governance practices to deliver value across domains, ensuring data quality, lineage, and security. You’ll engage senior stakeholders, run workshops, and produce concise client-ready deliverables. A meaningful hook is shaping enterprise data platforms on Azure and Purview to enable trusted analytics and governance.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement MDM solutions and operating models to maximise business value and manage data quality
  • Assess enterprise data domains, prioritise use cases, and develop pragmatic roadmaps with phases and dependencies
  • Define governance structures, stewardship roles, decision rights, and service management for data assets
  • Evaluate tooling options and provide balanced recommendations on architecture, security, cost, and scalability
  • Lead data quality initiatives including profiling, remediation strategies, and ownership models
  • Oversee metadata management, lineage, cataloguing, and integration with governance workflows
  • Map dependencies across technology, processes, people, governance, and reporting layers
  • Facilitate workshops and senior stakeholder engagements; produce high-quality client deliverables
  • Work in secure environments with emphasis on information governance, data protection, access control and auditability
  • Provide advisory support for deployment planning, risk management, and adoption of data governance programs
Key requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience designing, implementing and optimising Master Data Management solutions
  • Strong experience delivering MDM solutions in Microsoft Azure environments
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Purview (catalogue, lineage, classification, governance)
  • Eligibility for UK security clearance
  • Microsoft SC-400 certification or demonstrable equivalent experience aligned to Purview and information protection
  • Consulting experience with stakeholder engagement and delivery of client-facing deliverables
