In this role you will enhance scheduling systems for Spire's nanosatellite constellation and ground network, enabling efficient space-to-ground communications and orbital maneuvers. You’ll shape intelligent planning features for near-term and multi-day operations, improving resilience and observability. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software that supports live operations and evolving business needs. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of mathematics, software, and space operations, offering meaningful impact on global real-time coverage.

- Develop new scheduling capabilities for orbital maneuver planning and ground-system contact scheduling
- Iterate on features based on stakeholder feedback and changing requirements
- Build and refine observability dashboards and alerts
- Support live operations of constellation scheduling software
- Improve the team's developer environment and processes
- Investigate and mitigate production issues
- Strong mathematics or modelling systems skills
- Proven ability to write robust software applications
- Comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements
- Solid understanding of version control, testing, debugging and build systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar discipline
