Mechanical Building Systems Designer

Design building mechanical systems with AutoCAD and Revit MEP as a Mechanical Designer at NORR. Choose remote, home, or office-based work.

Work with NORR’s engineering team to develop solutions suited to project context, budgets, and aesthetic requirements. Analyze design intent and coordinate with professional disciplines across project phases. Apply knowledge of building systems, materials, codes, and construction technologies to create effective technical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design building components while integrating architectural requirements
• Create construction drawings from evaluated engineering requirements
• Perform calculations, code research, and building systems research
• Conduct site surveys and document construction conditions
• Review shop drawings against codes and quality controls

Requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems and building types
• Familiarity with architectural concepts and building codes
• Related post-secondary education completed
• Seven to ten years of project work experience
