Mechanical Critical Systems Associate

In this role you join Cundall’s Critical Systems team to lead and deliver innovative mechanical design for high-profile data centre projects. You’ll guide and develop engineers, manage fees and programmes, and ensure design quality while maintaining strong client relationships. You will help secure repeat business through proactive communication and understanding client needs, and contribute to proposals and work-winning activities. The position offers opportunities to influence large-scale data centre solutions and develop junior staff in a collaborative, leadership-driven environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape resilient, low-carbon infrastructure for global clients

• Lead and support mechanical engineers in delivering designs for data centre projects
• Manage project fees, programmes, and design quality
• Communicate clearly with project teams, clients and other disciplines
• Maintain and build strong client relationships to enable repeat business
• Contribute to work-winning activities and proposals
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and collaborate with senior management to guide team development

• Chartered Engineer
• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng, BEng or equivalent)
• Experience in a mechanical engineering role within data centres, critical systems or building services
• Proven client engagement experience
• Experience delivering multiple large-scale projects and leading less experienced engineers
